I got a Canon G9 and the Canon WP-DC21 underwater housing last week and decided to finally test it out Tuesday. Let me tell you, that first time submerging it is like throwing a baby into the pool. You have no idea whether or not it will work (a la leak), or in the baby's case, be able to "swim."..I must say it is a lot of fun once you realize it's not gong to flood; I only wish I had more time to play with it. The hardest part is correcting the blue cast on the images in post. They look pretty disgusting straight out of the camera. I cannot wait to use it on an assignment if one ever lends itself to using it...Oh yeah, best part? Not the pictures, but underwater video. Trying to figure out YouTube uploading now...I need to rig some weights to it so it will act like a underwater camera on a tripod.
